St. Alban’s is fortunate to have for an organ, E. M. Skinner Opus 266. This instrument was originally built for St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Flint Michigan in 1916. St. Paul’s sold the instrument to St. Alban’s in 1939 for $500.00. This purchase did not include the Echo division, pedal bass trombone stop, or the casework. The Aeolian-Skinner Company moved the organ and constructed new casework. In the years since the organ was moved, the Choir clarinet stop has been replaced by a 2’ flute and one of the 8’ swell reeds has been replaced by a 4’ reed. The organ is in need of rebuilding, it is playable however, and is used every week for worship services. |

This is the Pulpit side of the Chancel. This chamber contains the Choir division and the Pedal 8’ flutes. |
|
The Lectern side of the Chancel is where the console is located as well as the enclosed Swell division, the unenclosed Great division, and the remainder of the Pedal division. |

Below are two files that demonstrate the organ. The first is from Christmas Eve 2006 and demonstrates the organ doing what Ernest Skinner built it for, leading the singing of praise to the Lord. The second is a voluntary from the same service.
